The Women’s Debate is providing a forum through #IWasHarassed where women and men can share their experiences of sexual harassment in the workplace. The lawsuit filed by former Fox News anchor Gretchen Carlson against chairman Roger Ailes and the ensuing media coverage have provided a reminder that sexual harassment occurs in alarming rates. Often, the experience is dismissed, or the victim feels pressured not to report it. By encouraging people to speak out, we can collectively raise awareness of the pervasive reality.
Share yours. We’re here and we hear you.
We need to bring issues like sexual harassment into a national presidential debate about the issues that disproportionately affect women so we can evaluate the best policies to solve them.
